I officially finished all my finals last week Monday. It was great to get over with finals, but these past weeks have just flew by too fast. Studying for finals meant it was crunch time so we all mainly just went to school, ate dinner together, then went home to study. I realized that this exchange was coming to an end so I spent as much time as I could with my friends even if I didn't dorm with them. We would chill in the basement and just study together. To celebrate the end of finals and have one last gathering for all of us, we had a Christmas party at our apartment. It was really nice because we cooked our own food and listened to Christmas music/k-pop. We also decorated and exchanged presents as if we were back home. Then people started to pack their bags and slowly check out of their dorms to return home. Today, I checked out of my apartment and moved to an Airbnb with a friend. I finally have time to sort through all the photos and wrap up this blog:
Dearest Seoul,
Thank you for the countless adventures that you have allowed me to have! I am truly grateful for all the people I have met that have made my study abroad experience such a fantastic one. Exploring you with my friends has left me with such precious memories and stories. I only look forward to telling more people about you so they can also meet you! Yonsei University is a beautiful campus that definitely emphasizes the value of education, school spirit is so strong and can easily spread. I am thankful for my professors who also educated me on Korea culture. Eating your food and trying to speak your language was a great learning experience. I cannot express all my feelings in this paragraph, but I will definitely miss my study abroad experience with you and especially all of the people I met here. Goodbyes are always the hardest and it was bittersweet to watch my friends leave at the airport, but we will meet again one day. Hopefully, I'll get to visit you soon enough!
Love always,
Jessica Lee
